Kevin McHorse, MSPT, SCS
Kevin McHorse has lived in Austin all of his life and has been practicing physical therapy in Austin since he was licensed in 1999.  He received his Bachelor’s degree from Austin College in Sherman, TX in 1996 and completed a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Southwest Texas State University in 1999.  Since then, Kevin has focused on sports and spine injuries, specifically in the younger population, as he has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education.  In 2002 he completed the process of becoming Certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy of the Spine through the McKenzie Institute of North America.  In 2004 he achieved the status of Board Certified Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy and was named a Diplomat of the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.  Kevin has lectured nationally on the topic of pediatric sports physical therapy and is currently the co-Chair of the Pediatric Sports and Fitness Special Interest Group for the American Physical Therapy Association.  Kevin is particularly interested in injury prevention in the young athlete and enjoys working with young athletes and giving talks to local teams on injury prevention in youth sports.  He and his wife Beth have two young children.
