Dr. Shapiro is a native Texan, born and raised in Austin. Upon graduating from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1984, he completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency at St. Louis University in 1989. He continued his training at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas where he completed a Pediatric Orthopedic and Scoliosis Surgery Fellowship. He founded C.T.P.O in 1990 and has been in private practice ever since. Dr. Shapiro specializes in treating spinal disorders and many other complicated congenital abnormalities. He and his wife Shannon have 3 children: Adam, Whitney and Tommy. |
