SAY HELLO TO
DR. HEYDEMANN

I was introduced to medicine at a young age by my father – also a pediatric, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon – and knew early on that I wanted to be a physician.

I enjoy teaching and ensuring ample time for my patients and their families. I try to spend time making sure everyone understands and encourage kids and families to ask questions so they feel clear and confident every step of the way.

Every day, I bring my best self to work and approach every situation with compassion and gratitude.

OFF THE RECORD
FUNNIEST MOMENT

Kids can say the darndest things and laughter is the best medicine. I have a couple of patients that enjoy calling me Dr. Vitamin to be silly, as it sounds a lot like my last name.

WHAT ARE YOU FAMOUS FOR AT CTPO?

Being kind, caring, and thoughtful. My greatest intention is to show up to the office every day with kindness and thoughtfulness.

FAVORITE THING TO DO OUTSIDE OF WORK

I spend my weekends hiking, running, reading, and exploring the great outdoors at our wonderful state and national parks

FAVORITE TIP FOR PARENTS

I like to make sure parents know they can call us with any questions or concerns at anytime. It's our job to be here as a resource for them to assure and guide them from start to finish. Sometimes the fear of the unknown is the most challenging part of a difficult diagnosis or even a simple procedure, so feeling comfortable reaching out to us is a crucial part of being able to provide exceptional care.

HEARTWARMING MOMENT

It’s so hard to pick a particular heartwarming event when it feels like there are so many of them. Everyday I experience a heartwarming moment with a patient. Occasionally this comes in the form of a drawing or card or even becoming an honorary member of someone’s team. Each patient is unique and having the opportunity to get to know them as individuals opens my heart and is a rewarding part of the job.

SUBSPECIALTY FOCUS

My subspecialty interests include neuromuscular and foot and ankle conditions.
