GET TO KNOW

SOPHIA

Sophia is a board-certified Physician Assistant with a lifelong interest in pediatric orthopedics. As a former competitive gymnast and Division I cheerleader, she brings both personal insight and clinical expertise to her work with active children and adolescents. She takes particular interest in gymnastics and tumbling-related injuries, including back pain and overuse conditions. When she is not treating patients, Sophia enjoys running, trying out new recipes, and supporting her favorite Dallas sports teams. She’s also the proud dog mom of Duke.

In addition to providing general pediatric orthopedic care, Sophia is a member of CTPO's Spine Program, where she specializes in the assessment and management of back pain and scoliosis. She offers independent clinics for Dr. Kaufman and Dr. Ross.

WHY DO YOU LOVE WORKING AT CTPO?

Sophia is passionate about helping young athletes recover safely and efficiently, always prioritizing their well-being while supporting their drive to return to sports. Her athletic background gives her a unique perspective on the recovery process, and she’s grateful to be part of a team at CTPO that shares her dedication and energy. For Sophia, the most rewarding part of her work is building lasting relationships with patients and their families. She is also known to apply casts to her patients' stuffed animals because recovery is always better with a friend!
