About Dr. Hilton Gottschalk
Dr. Gottschalk is a Board-Certified Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon and is President and CEO of Central Texas Pediatric Orthopedics. Dr. Gottschalk attended Texas A&M University, followed by the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed residency in Orthopedic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center, along with Senior Registrar Orthopedics at Norfolk & Norwich University.
He also completed a Pediatric Orthopedic and Scoliosis Fellowship at Rady Children’s Hospital, along with a Hand Fellowship (Pediatric and Adult) at Loyola University.
He resides in Austin with his wife and two children and is a Dell Medical School Compassion and Character Award recipient.
How Are Doctors Selected to be Top Doctors?
Every year, TX Top Doc uses a qualification process to choose Top Doctors, which doctors cannot pay to be a part of or selected
Texas Doctors are invited to complete an application or submit their resume to start the process. This application includes information on each doctors education & training, years in practice, continuing education, licensing, publications, charitable work, professional & administrative appointments and achievements.
Once the application is received, TX Top Docs gathers additional information and verifies it all and conducts an in-depth screening process based on merit. This group of has collectively over 50 years of working within the medical field and review each applicant anonymously and thoroughly to decide if which doctors will be approved.
